Sometimes I forget stuff...

I was still warmin' up... I hope...

pEr

Now...lemme tell ya'll a story... long and boring but for once true...

Once there was an English DJ, writer, promoter and nowadays even manager(?) called Joe Cushley that told me I should contact this american that had a cool studio and a great band in Norway. Knowing that the most things Joe had told me had been good for me I did. The american was a nice fun guy that didn't like e-mails much... Anyway in 2004 he would come to Östersund with his band and I went there and met him and the bassplayer JO and the new drummer Dan. We kept in touch. Did some gigs together (HASTINGS!) but that was when he had started doing gigs on his own without any band.

JO and Dan started playing with various people and played the Urkult festival (2006) here so JO and I met and had a long talk like stupid people do when they meet.

We kept in touch. BTW I did loose touch with that american, lost his number and never got to get it again. But I know for sure he's doing well without me... How that now can be possible?

In late 08 JO and Dan was playing in Strömsund and I drove there. We talked music and stupidity as people do when they don't know better.

JO sent me a pigs foot and we were talking about maybe doing "something" together. JO realized that Dan, now playing with that american again wouldn't have the time to do this "thing", whatever it would become, so maybe we should check with Kai the drummer Dan replaced if he was interested? So JO did.
Düsseldorf 57 August 2012

Four, spread over two years, "weekends" in Oslo later we had a full-length... whatever, you call it nowadays, ready. We had been working fast and hard and stupid. Maybe to fast sometimes? Maybe to hard, at least once it was hard work, and, maybe, not stupid enough? We decided to call us Düsseldorf 57 just because...

Same year, we're talking 2011 now people, we did a gig in Aalborg Denmark. In April 2012 Kai got the mixes done and he's doing the mastering of the songs late(?) this fall/early winter(?).

The full-length "whatever" will be called Sinnahgoogie Boogie and contains songs that sounds like songs that we are playing. Some of them sounds a little more like the rest of the others but some of them just won't conform. And that's okay. We just say:- It's okay little song, just be what you wanna be! We'll always love you even if you never will make any money for us... Something like that...

This is the true story. I won't be telling it again.

Your "truth" is like a blindfold...

Preparing myself (mentally) for a gig with Dogbreath tomorrow! Kind of a dress rehearsal for the "tour" in Denmark we're doing (with Cleanboys DK and Dream Police) the last weekend in March.

So what's happened? Got myself a booking agent! Some people don't know good business... luckily for me! If you want to book Porklash solo (not the bands) you send a rude mail to Andreas at D-Booking[@]live.se and you will get an even more rude one back!

At soon 46 I decided to see if singing lessons could help and it did. I won't sing anymore...
I don't know if it will sound better from now on but I know that my throat don't get as tired as before so it does something good. For me at least.

Düsseldorf 57's mixing sessions is coming to an end so soon, for all who is waiting... Me, Kai and Jo I guess..., you will be able to hear the music in one way or the other.

I really should be blogging in Angermannia because this is boring! Hey! Help me out! What do you want to know? I promise to answer anything that I can without hurting people... I mean without hurting people that I care about!

Lappland? Hm...

Over and out!

And you can't see me now...
